The Ontario iGaming, a branch of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), has given out a set of new permits before the province’s launch of a controlled online betting market next month in Canada.
The most recent companies to be authorized in Ontario include Bet365 and FanDuel.
Hillside (operating as Bet365), FanDuel under Flutter Entertainment, and Unibet have all been granted permits in Ontario.
Annexio Limited (operating under the name Lotogo), Coolbear, Fitzdares, and NSUS Limited (operating under the WSOP brand) are other recently licensed operators.
LeoVegas, Rush Street Interactive, Rivalry, theScoreBet, and 888 have also been approved to operate in Ontario, with these approvals being granted in recent weeks.
Ontario iGaming issued these permits, and the agency will oversee the market when it officially opens in the province on April 4.
Each permit is valid from the market opening date until April 3, 2024.
New rules released earlier this week by the AGCO cautioned operators applying for licenses to stop operations by the time the province’s online gambling market opens next month.
The regulator will reject registration applications from companies that continue to operate in Canada’s largest province.
