DraftKings will sponsor Mike Tyson’s comeback fight
DraftKings’ branding will be showcased on the fight’s media day, weigh-in, and ringside.
As part of the collaboration, the operator will also create an original series, “DraftKings Bet Stories,” to capture sports wagering trends, such as betting percentages and volume, major bets placed, and unique market offerings.
The bout will occur on November 28, marking Tyson’s return to the ring after retiring in 2005. US media reports suggest the fight has already broken pre-fight pay-per-view sign-up records.
“The audience for this fight will be at the forefront of a top-tier, customer-first event that pits two generations of boxing’s greatest against each other, while also integrating the DraftKings brand and exclusive sports wagering data to create a seamless second-screen experience,” said Ezra Kucharz, Chief Business Officer at DraftKings.
“Sports wagering technology has evolved exponentially since either Mike Tyson or Roy Jones Jr. became world champions, so to see these legends clash in an era of industry innovation is truly something special.”
