The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (Pagcor) has taken away the permit of Sun Valley Clark due to the company’s premises being used for unlawful actions.
Pagcor withdrew the permit of Sun Valley Clark following an inquiry that revealed CGC Technologies, which occupied six structures within the Sun Valley center, was engaged in illicit operations.
Pagcor’s Chairman and CEO, Alejandro Tengco, stated that the Sun Valley Clark center, situated in the Clark Freeport Zone, no longer fulfilled the licensing requirements.
Tengco declared that the operator “is no longer suitable to retain its temporary authorization and is ineligible to obtain full authorization as an offshore gaming hub because it failed to guarantee that its occupants within the registered property conduct offshore gaming lawfully and in an orderly manner.”
Pagcor announced on May 4th that they carried out search and rescue operations at the Sun Valley property after several serious offenses, including cryptocurrency investment fraud, unlawful confinement, and human trafficking, were associated with CGC.
Out of the six structures occupied by CGC, two were authorized by Pagcor.
Tengco cautioned operators against participating in any criminal actions and declared that their permits would be taken away.
PAGCOR is dedicated to promoting ethical and controlled gambling within the Philippines,” stated Tenco, issuing a caution to offshore gaming permit holders and authorized service providers. “We recognize the revenue potential of offshore gaming, but we will not condone any illicit activities that infringe upon the rights of Filipinos or individuals from other nations.”
