Ulle Skottling, Assistant CEO at Videoslots, conveyed enthusiasm about Komemi joining the staff, emphasizing her zeal and commitment to the field. Skottling is confident that Komemi’s vast experience will be essential as Videoslots continues to grow in 2024.

Komemi shared her excitement about joining Videoslots and her eagerness to contribute to the company’s expansion. She voiced confidence in the team’s capacity to reach their objectives in the upcoming year.

This news follows Videoslots receiving a five-year license renewal from the Swedish Gambling Authority, permitting the company to operate in the regulated Swedish market until late 2028.

Online gaming platform, Videoslots, well-known in the industry, entered the Swedish market in 2019. Their presence, however, has encountered some obstacles from a regulatory standpoint. Sweden’s Gaming Authority levied a penalty of SEK 9 million (roughly $810,000 USD) against Videoslots, citing deficiencies in their anti-money laundering (AML) procedures. Specifically, the regulatory body identified vulnerabilities in Videoslots’ customer transaction monitoring, leading to apprehensions regarding their capacity to thwart financial wrongdoings.

This recent action is not the first instance where Videoslots has come under examination for its compliance practices. In June of 2023, they agreed to a £2 million (approximately $250,000 USD) resolution with the UK Gambling Commission stemming from comparable concerns involving responsible gaming and AML safeguards.
